What is the Johnson PTA?
The Johnson STEAM PTA is a non-profit group of parents and teachers. We work to support the Johnson STEAM Academy by providing additional resources when needed. We also work to build a strong sense of community at our school.
What programs does the Johnson STEAM PTA support?
The Johnson STEAM PTA helps fund our GREAT Before and After School Enrichment classes. We support the library with the Library Birthday Book program. The Johnson STEAM PTA helps pay for music lessons with scholarships. We sponsor the 5th Grade Graduation Celebration. We help pay for guest artist visits. The Johnson STEAM PTA supports the staff by providing conference meals and by providing a staff appreciation celebration week.
How does the Johnson STEAM PTA build a sense of School Community?
The Johnson STEAM PTA helps build a sense of school community by organizing and funding fun events such as the Harvest Hoopla, the Winter Dance and Blues and BBQ.
How does the Johnson STEAM PTA fund these programs?
The Johnson STEAM PTA funds these programs by having various fundraisers. Additionally we raise money for programs by collecting Box Tops for Education and Hy-Vee receipts.
How do I become a Johnson STEAM PTA Member? How do I volunteer?
Becoming a member is easy! Simply contact any PTA Officer listed below for more information. Or attend a PTA meeting held the first Monday of the month. Our meetings have a free meal at 5:30.
