Why volunteer? It's simple. By volunteering at your school, you and thousands of people like you all across the school district are making a direct impact on the lives of students and staff. You've found a "hands on" way to show that you care for the community. To volunteer, contact Johnson’s Volunteer Coordinator, Jane Oglesby, at 558-4119 or joglesby@cr.k12.ia.us.

From the principal for 2009 - 2010: I am requesting that parents volunteer to be homeroom parents to assist with special activities, volunteer to read in class, and help with playground and recess supervision so that we all send the same message to our children. It is our goal to develop a strong partnership in educating our children. Thank you, Tashona Marshall, JSA Principal

When you volunteer you are giving something back to your community by lending a helping hand to people and organizations. What you may not realize is that volunteering also benefits you as an individual. There are many good reasons to get involved as a volunteer, including learning something about yourself.
